Changes...

There have been a lot of changes over the past couple of months, so many changes that I haven't had time to even think straight most of the time.  My last project with AmeriCorps NCCC was good.  We went to Dry Ridge Kentucky and worked with Habitat for Humanity for about a month.  Then we were called on disaster and worked with the Red Cross in New Brunswick New Jersey for Sandy relief for a couple of weeks.  I then graduated from AmeriCorps!  Supposedly I was to come home for a few weeks and then head to Sacramento California as a FEMA Corps Team Leader, but instead I ended up coming home, then heading back to Vicksburg Mississippi for two weeks and deciding that I needed to come home for a while.

I really enjoyed the two weeks in Vicksburg getting to know the other team leaders, but was not a peace about staying down there, so I packed up and came back home.  I am back to working at Lowes in the Hardware Department with some pretty cool people.  The one thing that I really miss about AmeriCorps is the construction work that I was doing.  It didn't take me long to figure out that construction and disaster relief work is what I love doing!  Hopefully soon I will be able to get back into it, right now its back to the "real" world to earn money for a vehicle.  In the meantime, I am trying to keep my options open and figure out what is the next step to take.

Oh, and the best news is: I have finished paying back my students loans, so I don't have anymore debt!! :)
